Fresh Coventry & Warwickshire launches on digital radio!

Station Manager Aaron hits the airwaves across Coventry & Warwickshire.

Fresh Coventry & Warwickshire launched on DAB at 8am on Wednesday 28th March.

Broadcasting live 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anyone with a digital radio at home, in the office or in the car can now tune in anytime. Founded by local entrepreneur and Station Manager Aaron Gregory as a hobby from his bedroom in 2013 when he was 16 years old, Fresh Coventry & Warwickshire has grown to a 15-strong team of enthusiastic volunteers who aim to play the freshest and most up-to-date music from the station's headquarters in Leamington Spa.  The station also intends to provide a community platform between the residents and businesses of Coventry, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Rugby, Stratford and beyond.

Said Aaron, “After a lot of hard work we are so excited to be live on digital radio as well as on mobile and online. Our team of presenters have a huge passion for new music and we aim to play the hits before they’re hits.  With such a range of great music, we like to think we have something for everyone. Why not tune in and find out?”

Nineteen-year-old presenter Olly Nelson was the first voice on the radio when it went digital.  Said Olly, “It was the best thing ever, it was the weirdest feeling, but the best feeling and the first song was Lullaby by Paloma Faith. It was such an achievement, we were so small and now we’re live across Coventry and Warwickshire!”
